on quotes, a layout, and some musical inspiration circa 1991

Wed August 25 2010

i like quotes. i can’t really remember any to use in conversation (it’s a poor philosophy student who can’t impress others by quoting philosophers at opportune moments, but oh well, it’s a flaw i live with well), but i love to use them in scrapbooking.  i love them almost as much as fonts.  i especially tend to use music lyric quotes, but equally love literature quotes.  move over john mayer {and HERE too, eeps} and jason mraz,  i am now returning to one of my first musical loves and a treasure trove of exceedingly fun quotes to use.

that love has long been Morrissey and The Smiths.  high, high up among the list of music that i love, that has helped shape me, that i sort of, you know, forget to listen to.  for whatever cosmic reason, i have been finding Morrissey all over the internet lately {and really, how superawesome is this??! oh my, i die}, so when the Spragueground issued a ‘minimalist’ challenge, all sorts of inspirations converged.  so, this afternoon, my girls were dancing to This Charming Man and i was scrapping this:
