that’s a big rock

Fri July 24 2009

yesterday we found one of the beaches suggested to us  – it’s called Boulder Point, in Saltair.  About a 10 minute drive, maybe.  Turns out there is indeed a boulder there.  A huge, enormous boulder that utterly failed to impress my kids.  They enjoyed the beach well enough, but Bug finally decided it was “too muddy” for her discerning beach tastes.  Lots of shells though.  We were there for maybe an hour, or not quite, and even in that time, I could see that the water had risen by a few meters (lots of feet, anyway) up the beach from where it was when we first got there.  That’s freaky.
