big fun of the less extreme variety

Mon July 20 2009

we also took the kids for our first family round of mini-golf at Rip Tide Lagoon in Parksville, which they enjoyed a lot and were also extremely patient and well-behaved waiting for the bottlenecks to unclog.  The Turkey displayed some amazing one-handed putting skill, a little like one-handed broomball, and I think we need to get the Bug out for a girl’s field hockey team asap.  we’re not quite junior PGA prospects yet, but a good time was had by all, which is exactly what we were after.  i also was up-close-and-personal with my first arbutus tree, i think, and it doesn’t feel real, it’s like a cartoon tree.
