after much dithering, this four-year old has settled on wanting to be a ghost – “a scary ghost!” – for Halloween haunting and trick or treating. deciding against the sheet-with-eyeholes-cut-out route, i instead took inspiration from some handspun yarns i’ve been ogling i mean googling lately – like these and these and some various internet tutorials on knotting tutus… and off we went to the fabric store for tulle (or “craft netting”) and white muslin, and some glittery sparkley lacey bits too. then we cut and ripped and knotted and we had a ghostie skirt. i am betting on some other days, and with the addition of some flowers, it could easily be a fairy skirt too.
i will let you know how the Zombiekins costume-making goes… wish me luck on that one!
